My septic was installed but there is a pile of dirt in my yard and it has not been covered up, how long will it be like this? "We know that this can be frustrating. We sympathize with you for this inconvience. Unfortunately, this is all dependent on the weather. When a septic system is installed, due to the type of soil that we have here in Northeast OH, we must allow for the system to "settle". We cannot cover the freshly dug hole until it has settled and dried out a bit. We do promise that we will not forget about you, once the weather allows, we will be over to finish the job.
